Calabria is the toe of Italy and is washed by the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Ionian Sea. Calabrian climate is typically Mediterranean type.
The main tourist resort in Calabria is the sea, with a long coastline overlooking three seas (Tyrrhenian and Ionian Straits of Messina), a particular richness of fish fauna in a landscape that alternates between sandy beaches and cliffs.
